My WoW Interface, 2.x.x and 3.x.x
PREAMBLE
I did a quick search for my last WoW UI thread and it turns out I posted it way back in 2006. The interface I posted was nothing too special, just the default interface with a few mods like Atlas, Titan Panel, Group Calendar, and some mod for chat popup windows. It looked something like this: http://wow.addongurus.com/wp-content...008/03/494.jpg Nothing too special, no major changes to the default interface. Today I look at it as an ugly piece of shit and how the hell was I able to use that back then. I created my first original interface 8 months ago before the initial quit. I called it lurk-ui. When I renewed my account 2 months ago, I've updated and modernized lurk-ui. The new one, lurk-ui2, comes in two different layouts; one for 70s and one for leveling. The major difference is the keybinds are shown at all times on the leveling ui and it's hidden by default on the 70 ui. It's hidden on the 70 ui because by then you're supposed to memorize your keybinds... or at least, I do. lurk-ui2 FOR LEVEL 70S There are 24 keybound buttons hidden from view unless toggled with this macro I've made. I don't need to see my keybinds so I figured I'd eliminate them from view 99.9% of the time unless I want to tweak a keybind. There are 12 click buttons shown at all times. These are buttons that I use but not often enough for keybinding. There are also 3 quick access buttons on the right for stuff like quest items so I don't have to bring up my bags all the time. lurk-ui2 FOR LEVELING This UI has 36 buttons shown at all times, 24 of which are keybound. It also had the 3 quick access buttons on the right. It helps to see your keybinds at all times while you're leveling and it makes it easier to move them around while you're still learning to play your class. This UI has basically the stuff the 70 interface has except more stuff is showing and it has prettyer portraits. MOD LISTING Self explanatory, here's the mods! ![]() lurk-ui2 70 UI SCREENSHOT

PATCH 3 MAYHEM
Well, the patch screwed over my addons so I had to scrap everything and start over. That pretty much sums this up. I also didn't want to spend hours making the same interface with updated/changed addons because that'd feel pretty bad. There are quite a number of changes on this UI that I actually really like. THE CHANGES FROM lurk-ui2 Updated mods brought new features. I've made the portraits easier to see and more aesthetically pleasing. Cast bar looks awesome under the portraits and buffs/debuffs are easier to see. The click bar has been reduced to 8 visual buttons at all times, 6 additional buttons appear on the left and right sides of the 8 when you go into combat. NAMING THE UPDATE Well, I'm not sure if I want to call this lurk-ui3 or just an updated version of lurk-ui2. I'll think about it eventually. THE SCREENSHOTS 1. Idle shot, target, target of target 2. In-combat; notice the expanded click bar 3. Bags, character window, hidden bars shown 4. Cast bar shown 1. ![]() 2. ![]() 3. ![]() 4. ![]()
